One local team for your IT, your Microsoft 365, your website, and your first safe steps into AI. We become your IT department, for less than it costs to hire one.

People first. Technology second.

Not everyone is a technical expert, and we don't expect you to be. We do what we do so you can get on with what you do, and when you need us you get a tech, not a ticket.

Why we started GravIT →
What we do

Four ways we keep your business running.

GravIT is a Geelong owned and operated IT company based in North Geelong, Victoria, a managed service provider (MSP) covering IT, Microsoft 365, AI and web with one local team. Most clients use us for all four. You can start with one.

Why local matters

Get a tech, not a ticket.

Call a national MSP and you get a ticket number and a queue. Call GravIT on 03 5280 8088 and a technician from our North Geelong office starts on the problem. Support is delivered by the Geelong team, never a call centre and never offshore.

Real people, real address

95 Mornington Street, North Geelong. You can visit us. Try that with a call centre.

Same-day on site

Across Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast, a technician can be at your site the same day.

Your data stays in Australia

Hosting on GravIT-owned infrastructure in a Melbourne data centre rather than a mystery region overseas.

Built and fixed here

Workstations custom-built and repaired locally, not shipped interstate for warranty.

Trust

We end up holding the keys to everything.

It is worth saying out loud, because most IT companies would rather you didn’t think about it. Hand your systems to a provider and they get the lot: your email, your files, your client records, the accounts your business runs on. That is a serious amount of trust to place in anybody, and it is the actual product. The technical work is the easy half.

A partner is not a supplier

A supplier earns more when you buy more. That is not a character flaw, it is just how the arrangement is built, and it is why so many businesses end up with things they did not need and did not understand.

We charge a fixed monthly fee. We earn the same whether your week is quiet or everything is on fire. The only way that works for us is if your systems genuinely behave, so our interests and yours point the same direction by design rather than by good intentions. It is also why we will tell you not to buy something, and why the answer is sometimes “you don’t need us for that”.

We take the least access we can

Our own technicians hold no more access to your systems than the job requires. Being your IT provider is not a reason to have keys to everything, and we would rather explain a short delay than keep standing access we do not need.

We can’t read your passwords

The vaults we roll out encrypt records on your own device. Not the vendor, not us. When we need a credential we ask for it to be shared deliberately, a limitation we consider a feature.

Confidentiality is in the contract

Not a line on a website. Our service agreement commits us to keeping your information confidential and not disclosing it without your written consent, and that survives the agreement ending.

Your systems stay yours

Passwords, documentation, domains and data belong to you, and we keep them documented rather than in one person’s head, precisely so they could be handed over. When your agreement ends we hand the keys straight back, and your data comes with you if you ask us before your end date.

We run what we sell

The security standards, the password vault, the backup regime and the monitoring we recommend are the same ones running our own business. We are not asking you to do anything we have not already done to ourselves.

You can come and find us

95 Mornington Street, North Geelong. There is a real office with real people in it, and the person who answers the phone is the person who fixes the problem. Accountability is much simpler when you can drive to it.

Find out where your IT actually stands

A technician spends about 45 minutes looking at your setup the way we would look at our own, then you get a written summary in plain English: what is solid, what is exposed, what we would fix first. Yours to keep. Act on it yourself, or hand it to your current provider.

  • We follow the evidenceWhat your systems say about themselves, not what anyone assumes.
  • We find the weaknessesRanked by what would hurt your business, not by what is easiest to sell.
  • We go where we need toIf the first hour points somewhere unexpected, we follow it.

Let's talk about your setup.

Tell us what's annoying you about your IT. We'll tell you straight whether we can help.
