AI for Your Business, Without the Leap of Faith

GravIT helps Geelong businesses adopt AI safely and usefully: we assess where it genuinely fits your workflow, do the data-security groundwork first, enable tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot, and train your staff. Down-to-earth AI advice from your Geelong owned and operated IT team, with no sales pitch.

Readiness

AI Readiness & Adoption

Before any licences are bought: an honest assessment of where AI fits your workflow (and where it doesn't), plus the data-security groundwork so nothing confidential ends up where it shouldn't.

Who it's for: Businesses hearing "we should be using AI" and wanting a straight answer about what's worth doing.

  • Workflow assessment
  • Data-security groundwork
  • Prioritised adoption plan

Copilot

Microsoft 365 Copilot Enablement

Copilot puts AI inside Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, but it can surface anything a user can access. We prepare your data governance (permissions, sharing hygiene), licence it, deploy it and train your team.

Who it's for: Businesses already on Microsoft 365 that want AI where their work already lives.

  • Data-governance preparation
  • Licensing

Claude

Claude AI Consulting

Claude, by Anthropic, is the assistant we use most in our own work. It is strongest on long documents, careful analysis and writing that doesn't need a rewrite. We help you work out where it fits, set it up safely on a business plan, and train your team on real tasks.

Who it's for: Businesses whose work is language-heavy (documents, advice, tenders, analysis), or who want AI beyond the Microsoft toolbox.

Full details

What's included

  • Fit assessment
  • Safe business-plan setup
  • Staff training
  • Workflow automation
Policy

Safe AI Usage Policies

Your staff are probably already pasting things into free AI tools. An acceptable-use policy sets out what's allowed, what's confidential, and which tools are approved, guarding against data leaking into public AI.

Who it's for: Any business whose staff have discovered ChatGPT, which is every business.

Full details

What's included

  • Acceptable-use policy creation
  • Approved-tools guidance
  • Data-leakage safeguards
  • Staff briefing
Agents

Custom AI Agents

Beyond an assistant you talk to is an agent that does a job: reading what arrives, drafting what goes out, keeping a system up to date. The same routine task, done the same careful way, every time. We build small, tightly-scoped agents for the repetitive work your people shouldn't still be doing by hand, with a human approving anything that matters.

Who it's for: Businesses with a repetitive, rules-shaped task eating hours every week: intake, triage, data entry, first-draft anything.

Full details

What's included

  • The task, mapped and scoped
  • Built on Claude or Copilot
  • Human approval where it counts
  • A pilot before a commitment
Our own toolkit

AI-Powered Service Delivery

We use AI in our own business before we advise on it. GravIT uses AI-assisted monitoring and insights across the client fleets we manage, helping us spot patterns and emerging issues earlier. A local technician still makes every decision; the AI means we look in the right place sooner.

What it means for you: problems caught earlier on managed IT contracts, without your data leaving our control.

In practice

  • AI-assisted fleet monitoring
  • Earlier pattern detection
  • Technician-verified decisions
On the phones

Call Transcription and Analysis

The phone is where most of what your customers really think gets said, and almost none of it is ever written down. Calls can be recorded, transcribed into searchable text, and then read by AI, to summarise a long call, pull out what was agreed, or look across a month of them and tell you what people keep ringing about. That last one usually finds a question you answer forty times a week that should have been a line on your website.

What we will not do: put an AI voice agent on your main number. The AI reads calls your people had; it does not take them. Most people ringing a local business are ringing because they want a person.

Full details

In practice

  • Calls transcribed and searchable
  • Summaries and agreed actions
  • Themes across many calls
  • Notification obligations handled
  • No AI answering your phone
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What AI services does GravIT offer in Geelong?

Six things: AI readiness assessments (where AI genuinely fits your workflow), Microsoft 365 Copilot enablement, Claude consulting, custom AI agents that take on real routine work, safe AI usage policies for your staff, and the AI-assisted monitoring we use ourselves to look after client fleets. All delivered by our local Geelong team.

Is AI actually useful for a small business, or just hype?

Both exist. Used well, for drafting, summarising, searching your own documents and taking meeting notes, it saves real hours every week. Used carelessly, it leaks confidential data into public tools and produces confident nonsense. The difference is preparation, which is exactly the part we do.

What has to happen before we switch AI tools on?

Data-security groundwork. AI tools like Copilot can surface anything a user can technically access, so permissions and sharing hygiene have to be right first, or the intern's chatbot can quote the salary spreadsheet. We fix that before anything is enabled.

Do you train our staff?

Yes. Rollout includes training on what the tools do, what to use them for, and what never to paste into them. Tools without training is how AI projects fail.

How does GravIT itself use AI?

We use AI-assisted monitoring and insights across the client fleets we manage, which helps us spot patterns and issues earlier. A technician still makes the decisions; the AI helps us look in the right places sooner.
