Our standard desktop is a compact workstation we build and image ourselves in North Geelong: current-generation Intel Core Ultra, 32GB of memory, fast NVMe storage and Wi-Fi 7, in a box small enough to bolt behind the screen.

One machine that does both jobs
Plenty of businesses still run a desktop for the desk and a laptop for everywhere else: two machines, two sets of updates, and the file you need always on the other one. The setup we fit most now is a ProBook and a Thunderbolt dock: walk in, click in one cable, and the laptop is the desktop.

It arrives ready, not in a box
A machine from a retailer arrives as a project: hours of setup, missing software, and a person who cannot work yet. A machine from us arrives ready to be worked on, because the people supplying it are the same people who look after the rest of your IT.
Before it lands on the desk, it has been imaged with your standard software, joined to your Microsoft 365, protected with the same endpoint security as the rest of your fleet, brought fully up to date, and recorded in your asset list. If it replaces an old machine, your files and settings come across as part of the job.
When something goes wrong
Warranty and repairs are handled here in North Geelong by the team that sold it, rather than shipped interstate while somebody works from their phone. And because we standardise the fleet, the diagnosis is usually quick: we know these exact machines, in their hundreds.
Servers, firewalls and network gear are quoted per job as part of IT infrastructure. This page is the day-to-day desk kit.

Frequently asked questions
Do we have to buy hardware through you?
No. But one supplier means one phone call when something misbehaves, with no retailer pointing at the IT company and back again. We only quote gear we're happy to support afterwards, which is why the list is short.
Why HP ProBooks rather than something cheaper from a retailer?
The retail shelf and the business line are different machines wearing similar badges. The ProBook line is built to be serviced, carries a business warranty, and behaves consistently, which matters when you have twenty of them and want the twenty-first to act like the rest.
What exactly is a GravIT NUC workstation?
A compact desktop workstation we build and image ourselves in North Geelong on the current NUC platform, with full desktop performance in a box small enough to mount behind the monitor. Most desks we set up run one.
Does new gear come set up, or in a box?
Set up. Machines are imaged, joined to your Microsoft 365, protected, updated and added to your asset records before delivery. If it's replacing an old machine, your data comes across as part of the job.
Why are there no prices on this page?

What about warranty repairs?
Handled locally by the team that sold you the machine, with the manufacturer dealt with by us rather than by you. You're not posting a laptop interstate and waiting.
Can a laptop really replace the desktop?
That's the setup we fit most now: a ProBook plus a Thunderbolt dock. One cable on the desk gives you two screens, a full keyboard and mouse, wired network and charging, and the same machine goes home in the bag. One computer to update and protect instead of two.
