IT Support for Healthcare & Allied Health in Geelong

GravIT supports medical centres, specialists and allied-health practices across Geelong and regional Victoria, including hosting clinical software on our own private cloud in a Melbourne data centre, managing updates and database health, and keeping the integrations that surround it working. Because a waiting room doesn't pause for a reboot.

What usually hurts

  • Patient records: the most sensitive data a small business can hold
  • Clinical software (Best Practice, MedicalDirector and Zedmed included) that has to be up, fast and correctly backed up, and that nobody in the practice wants to be responsible for
  • Pathology, imaging and booking integrations that break quietly and are noticed loudly
  • Multi-site practices where every location needs the same access and the same speed
  • Privacy Act obligations, and accreditation requirements that ask what your IT actually does

  • Uptime-first managed support with same-day on-site response across Geelong
  • Security aligned to the Essential Eight, with encrypted devices, MFA and tested backups
  • Privacy Act compliance assistance and documentation for accreditation: reasonable safeguards, evidenced
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is patient data kept in Australia?

Anything we host lives on GravIT-owned infrastructure in a Melbourne data centre. For cloud practice systems, we help you check the vendor's data residency and configure things safely.

Can you support our practice-management software?

Yes. Best Practice, MedicalDirector, Zedmed, MediRecords, Halaxy and Capable are all in regular use across the practices we support, with Pracsoft alongside for billing, and for a number of practices we host the clinical system as well, on our own private cloud in Melbourne. We manage the updates, watch performance and database health, and deal with the software vendor when it is their end. One number for "the system is slow", regardless of whose fault it turns out to be.

Do you work with pathology, imaging and booking integrations?

Yes. Those integrations are usually where the pain is, because they sit between systems and nobody owns them. We do, from pathology downloads with providers such as Australian Clinical Labs to the imaging and online-booking links your clinical software depends on.

Can you help with accreditation?

We provide the documentation and evidence about your IT environment that accreditation and audits ask for, and we keep the controls behind it current rather than assembling it in a panic each cycle.

What happens if our systems go down mid-clinic?

Call and a technician starts immediately, remote first, on site same-day if hands are needed. That's the point of being local.
