What you end up with is a network nobody designed, held together by decisions made under time pressure years apart, and gear bought to solve last month rather than next year.
A step back, then buy once
We look at the bigger picture before quoting the part: what you need today and what you are going to need soon, such as the staff you are about to hire, the site you are opening or the system you are about to move to.
That saves money, it does not spend it. The switch with room to grow costs a little more than the one that is exactly big enough today, and considerably less than buying the small one now and the right one in eighteen months. You are not spending twice.
It also means we will tell you when the answer is nothing yet. Planning ahead is not the same as selling ahead, and a plan that says “this is fine for another two years, revisit it then” is a perfectly good outcome of asking.
Why “tested before deployment” matters
Because your office is not a lab, and installation day is a bad time to discover a fault. Here is what actually happens between the quote and the handover.
We look at the site
What the building is made of, where the cabling runs, where people actually sit, and which corner never gets a signal. Guessing this from a floor plan is how you end up adding access points later.
Specified against the job
Sized for what you do and where you are heading, not padded and not cut so fine it needs replacing in eighteen months. If the cheaper option genuinely does the job, we will say so.
Built and configured at our workshop
Hardware is set up on our bench, not on your carpet. Servers built, switches and firewalls configured, workstations imaged, all before anything leaves North Geelong.
Tested while it is still ours
The bit that gets skipped elsewhere. Faulty hardware and configuration mistakes surface here, where they cost an afternoon, rather than on site where they cost you a day of trading.
Installed, documented, handed over
Fitted at a time that suits you, often outside hours, and written down. The documentation matters more than it sounds: it is the difference between a fast fix in two years and somebody reverse-engineering your network from scratch.

Linux as well as Windows
Both, and mixed environments are the normal case here rather than the hard one. Which matters, because the answer decides whether your line-of-business application is a project or a problem.
Windows Server
The everyday case in most offices, and we run plenty of it: files and print, identity and sign-on, and the line-of-business applications that were only ever written for it.
Linux
Not an afterthought. We work in AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu and CloudLinux. The last is built for multi-tenant hosting, where per-account isolation and resource limits matter in a way a general-purpose distribution never has to care about.
Which one you need
Usually decided by your software, not by preference. When an application, appliance, database or web platform wants a Linux host, that is ordinary work here rather than an exception that gets quietly subcontracted.
Worth saying plainly: this is experience at the scale hosting platforms demand, not the occasional one-off. It is also why private cloud hosting and web hosting are things we run ourselves rather than resell.
Signs your network needs redesigning
Infrastructure fails slowly and then all at once, and the warning signs get absorbed as normal long before anything actually breaks. The printer that needs restarting. The corner of the office with no signal. The file that takes a minute to open. The machine somebody reboots every morning “because it plays up otherwise”.
People stop reporting those and start working around them, which is exactly the point they stop being visible to anyone who could fix them. If you recognise two or three, that is worth a conversation now rather than in the week it becomes urgent, and the conversation is free.
